Meet Bas Lebesque – Personal Leadership Coach in Amsterdam
Personal Leadership Coach
As a personal leadership coach in Amsterdam, I help professionals shift from overdrive to alignment, without sacrificing success. I used to trade millions in the financial markets, running on adrenaline, chasing more, and feeling less. From the outside, it looked successful. On the inside, I felt disconnected.
That changed when I stopped trying to outperform my discomfort and started getting honest with myself.
These days, I live differently. I lead, I coach, I laugh, I breathe. I make space for what matters to me, including stand-up comedy and guiding people through life’s final goodbyes as a funeral leader. It’s all part of the same thread: presence, purpose, and real connection.
Here’s what that shift looked like for me:
- It took me 3 years to step out of my golden cage.
- I lived in 8 countries on 5 continents
- Got rid of 75% of my stuff
- Gave up on smoking and drinking
- Went from 100 hours a week to a 35-hour workweek
- I do cold water therapy 3 times a week
- I perform stand-up comedy
- And I lead funerals
Things I’m Still Working On
- Choosing being love over being right
- Letting intimacy in, instead of hiding behind sex
- Accepting that perfectionism will always keep knocking on the door, I just don’t have to open it
- Remembering that asking for help isn’t weakness, it’s a skill I am still practicing
All of that, and none of it, is the point. What matters is that I now live a life that feels like mine. And I help others do the same.
If you’re ready to shift, whether in your work, your body, or your way of being, we’ll start from where you are, and move at your pace.
There are no quick fixes. But there is real change. And I’m here for it.

What - Monika K (client) says
“Flexible, responsive, and caring. From our first coaching session together, Bas helped me clarify my thoughts and identify what I needed to do to move forward. He helped me see the ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ by breaking down the steps I needed to take into bite-sized actions. I would highly recommend Bas such a wonderful coach and human being to work with.”
